On the Occasion of Yalda Night (The longest night of the year 21.12.2011), they did not give Nasrin’s 3 years old son Nima permission to see his mother, even for just a minute.
(Here you hear a part of the letter of Nasrin wrote to her son Nima about nine months ago).
A huge thank you goes out to all of the wonderful and generous supporters and volunteers of our Campaign, what a great group we have and we look forward to working with all of you in the future.
We’d also like to thank all of the people we’ve had contact with who have helped us in one way or another during 2011 and thanks to everyone who has been a part of it!
International Campaign in Support of Nasrin Sotoudeh.
Please join the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran in calling for the release of lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh, who is in prison for simply defending her clients and insisting that Iranian authorities respect human rights. Nasrin Sotoudeh has long been an outspoken advocate for the rights of women, children, and prisoners of conscience, often exposing the failure of Iranian authorities to uphold the law. These brave actions have made her a target.
